Young readers are invited to Tabby’s Place on Saturday, March 1, for its second annual Read Across America and a day of fun with furry friends. Bring or borrow a book, enjoy some treats, and have your chance to meet the Cat in the Hat himself.

Participants also have the opportunity to spend time reading to many of Tabby’s Place more than 115 cats in residence, many of whom have advanced medical and/or behavioral needs. From outgoing youngsters like Peabody to quiet but kind gentlemen like Tux, readers will be able to make plenty of new furry friends.

This event is free and open to all, but RSVPs are required due to limited space. To reserve your spot, please contact volunteer director Karina Jewitt at kj@tabbysplace.org. All children must have a parent or guardian on the premises at all times.
