What’s not to like about a community-member initiative to support and promote New Jersey farmers? Held every Saturday at the Vaughn Commuter Lot at the Princeton Junction Train Station, the West Windsor Community Farmers Market, now in its twenty-first year continues to curate many of New Jersey’s finest farmers (plus one Pennsylvania mushroom grower), and small artisan New Jersey food businesses, keeping the focus on products made with Jersey Fresh farm offerings.

Market Manager, Chris Cirkus explains, “We pride ourselves in offering space to those makers who support our farmers! It’s an amazing loop in keeping our farmers farming and our shoppers purchasing the highest quality, freshest local foods from our nearly fifty farms, producers, and purveyors.” Cirkus continues, “Creating community is what we do; from a vacant commuter lot to a vibrant “pop-up downtown” filled with positive energy and delicious food, we invite you to join us this Saturday and experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the Market!”

Find in-season fruits and vegetables, mushrooms, pastured poultry, beef, pork and eggs, honey, pesticide-free flowers, sourdough breads and baked goods, gluten-free and vegan savory and sweets, fresh-never-frozen fish and seafood, barrel pickles, Polish, Indian, Lebanese and Korean traditional and favorites such as kielbasa, pierogi, mustards, masala and curries, hummus, baba ganouj, kimchi and kimbap rolls (all made from scratch), along with salsa, fresh pasta using locally sourced grains, ravioli, sauces, jams, cave-aged and fresh cheeses including goat cheese, yogurt and milk, locally grown and freshly milled oats and grains, wine, alpaca fiber wear, and even dog treats made with local beef. One culinary-related maker joins each week with pottery, hand-turned wooden bowls, cutting boards, etc.

Stroll and enjoy coffee, teas, freshly made crepes, wood-fired pizzas, cold-pressed juices and fresh sugar cane juice, acai bowls, pastries, air-baked empanadas, and samosas.

Live music each Saturday, community groups, cooking demonstrations, plus a knife/blade sharpener (1st & 3rd Saturdays) along with a food waste recovery subscription service.
