While Raza’s is a new restaurant that opened in November, 2024, the leadership team brings with it years of industry experience. Owner Syed Raza, who currently acts as Managing Director of Private Social Dining, is a visionary entrepreneur in the restaurant and catering industry, renowned for optimizing and revitalizing businesses. His dedication to excellence is clear through his ability to host first-class events, earning over 450 five-star customer reviews on WeddingWire and The Knot.
He most recently led a successful rebrand as the Managing Partner and Executive Director of Sales & Marketing at The Estate at Farrington Lake. His earlier roles, including Director of Events & Catering at The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor and Managing Director at Buttonwood Manor, highlighted his ability to manage large teams, drive significant revenue growth, and enhance brand presence.
Syed is also an empathetic mentor, focusing on professional development to cultivate loyalty in the restaurant industry. It is only fitting, then, that Raza’s co-owner and general manager is Syed’s son, Elias.
“My passion for the hospitality industry was ignited by my parents, who met and built their careers in this field,” Elias says. “Growing up, I was immersed in the energy and creativity of bringing people together through food and service. My parents’ shared love for hospitality not only influenced my upbringing but also inspired my own journey.”
Elias Raza now has more than eight years of experience in running weddings at high-end venues and managing restaurants. “This experience has given me a unique perspective on the diverse needs of guests, from coordinating large-scale events to delivering exceptional dining experiences,” he says.
