The Holiday Calendar Keeps Growing

Try as we might to be comprehensive in our calendar listings, it’s inevitable that a few holiday happenings have fallen through the cracks or come to our attention well past the deadlines for our recent rounds-ups of holiday boutiques and other festive events.

Here are a few late-breaking additions to the calendar:

The Watershed Institute hosts its 2nd Annual Sip & Shop Holiday Market on Wednesday, December 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments and sip on wine while you shop from craft sellers who offer beautiful one-of-a-kind creations and products. 31 Titus Mill Road, Pennington. www.thewatershed.org

The Garden Club of Princeton presents its Holiday French Market on Friday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A variety of holiday arrangements, amaryllis, narcissus, and other gifts will be available for purchase. The Stockton Market hosts its annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Explore the market’s collection of unique gifts to spread cheer and enjoy a festive atmosphere including live Christmas carols performed by a children’s choir and a visit from Santa for family selfies. A curated selection of vendors offers a mix of gifts including clothing and accessories, jewelry, children’s books, candles, and more. 19 Bridge Street, Stockton. www.stocktonmarket.com.

Ohlala! French Boutique also returns on Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The pop-up boutique offers paintings, fashion, crafts, art books, beauty products, and more, all by Francophone or Francophile artists and artisans. The Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice presents a Holiday Drag Show Fabulously Festive Fundraiser featuring Miss Cissy Walken on Saturday, December 7, at 7 p.m. The event raises money to help preserve and protect the Queer Safe-Space for LGBTQIA+ youth, intersectional families, and all diverse communities. The Center then hosts a “Handmade for the Holidays Crafternoon” on Saturday, December 14, at 1 p.m., with Kyle the Craftivist. 12 Stockton Street, Princeton. www.rustincenter.org.

The Westminster Community Orchestra presents its Holiday Favorites and Sing-Along concert on Wednesday, December 11, at 7:30 p.m. The free annual family-friendly holiday concert is conducted by Dr. Ruth Ochs and features festive seasonal favorites. The audience is invited to join the orchestra in Finnegan’s popular “Christmas Sing-along.” Free-will monetary donations to benefit area food pantries will be accepted. Princeton Tour Company is once again offering Holiday Trolley Tours showcasing the town’s most historic sites, famous residents, and beautiful landscapes. Tours are offered hourly on Saturday and Sunday, December 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tours begin within sight of the illuminated spruce tree in Palmer Square. As your guide chronicles the events that shaped one of America’s most educated towns, ride in comfort through the architecturally significant neighborhoods of Paul Robeson, Albert Einstein, Grover Cleveland, Woodrow Wilson, Betsey Stockton, Andrew Carnegie, Robert Wood Johnson, Robert Oppenheimer, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Toni Morrison, Philip Roth, Michael Graves, and more. Throughout the journey, the guides highlight points of interest and share tales of noteworthy (and notorious) Princetonians, past and present. Tours are $28. princetontourcompany.com.

In addition to its main stage presentation of “Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley,” opening this Friday, December 6, Actors’ NET of Bucks County presents a special, one-night-only Holiday Revue on Sunday, December 15, at 7 p.m. Picture the warmth of a holiday party with friends, sprinkled with musical numbers and comedic banter, performed by ActorsNET stars.

The show is directed by Nicholas Pecht, with musical direction by Sue den Outer, and produced by Hayley Rubins-Topoleski. Featured performers are Grace Albert, Yolanda Bullock, Jim Cordingley, Matt Duchnowski, Morgaine Ford-Workman, DJ Holcombe, D. Ryan Lafferty, Steve Lobis, Nicholas Pecht, Hayley Rubins-Topoleski, G. Anthony Williams, and others.

Randy Now’s Man Cave presents a free rock ’n’ roll Christmas concert featuring Katye Kellye and the Interruption on Saturday, December 21, at 2 p.m. The first all-original holiday album by Katye Kellye and The Interruption, “Sparkle!,” covers a diverse range of genres from bubblegum pop to folk to pop-punk. 119 West Ward Street, Hightstown. www.mancavenj.com.
