Prior to her time at the National Theater Corporation, Bartlo-Chaplin worked for SMG, a national venue management company, where she had management responsibility for the National Theater and several other venues around the country. Before that she was associate managing director at San Diego Repertory Theater and the Yale School of Drama. She has a bachelor of science in theater arts from Weber State University and an MFA in theater management from Yale.
