Veronique M. Cardon, creator of CogniDiet, based in Skillman, has won the “Rising Star” Immigrant Entrepreneur Award. She immigrated to the U.S. from France.

CogniDiet is a nutritional weight loss plan. She also developed the “PowerNESS Your Brain” program in 2018 for corporations and nonprofits, which is designed to help participants improve their brain performance.

Two other area businesses were recognized. Sandeep Agarwal, originally from India, and his company, Princeton Junction-based Pure Indian Foods, won the Caspar Wistar Award for Growth. His business, which he runs with his wife, Nalini, offers handmade Indian ghee, a type of clarified butter.

Annabelle Radcliffe-Trenner, founder of Historic Building Architects of Trenton, originally from Britain, won the Nicholas Marcalus Award for Sustainability.

The New Jersey Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards honor immigrant business leaders helping New Jersey communities thrive. The awards were created to highlight the social and economic contributions of New Jersey’s immigrants to communities throughout the state and celebrate the important role of immigrants to today’s economy. The awards are sponsored by a broad-based coalition of New Jersey chambers, associations, and organizations. Winners were honored at a ceremony on October 8.
