Princeton Makes and Ragged Sky Press’s next free monthly Second Sunday Poetry reading, set for November 12 at 4 p.m., features writers Daniel Weeks and Estelle Bajou.
Weeks, of Eatontown, New Jersey, is a poet, historian, and musician, whose latest book of poems is “We No More Sang for the Bird: A Poem of World War I” (Ragged Sky Press, 2023).
He is also the author of “For Now: New & Collected Poems,” 1979-2017, which includes nine previously published collections in addition to unpublished work. His poetry has appeared in The Cimarron Review, Plainsongs, The Stillwater Review, and many other publications. He edits This Broken Shore literary magazine.
Bajou is an award-winning writer, actor, and composer based in New York City. Her poetry received a Best of the Net nomination from Heavy Feather Review, a Pushcart Prize nomination from This Broken Shore, and is featured in Broad River Review, California Quarterly, SWIMM, and elsewhere.
Her debut poetry collection, “I Never Learned to Pray,” was longlisted for the C&R Press Poetry Award and is available from Main Street Rag. Her website is estellebajou.com.

The free reading takes place at the Princeton Makes artists cooperative shop located in the Princeton Shopping Center, next to Metropolis Hair Salon, and was developed with the independent Princeton based publisher, Ragged Sky Press.
An open mic available to a limited number of audience members interested in reading their original poetry will follow.
