Rich Simkus and Nick Ventura are Smith Barney senior portfolio managers who created the investment group to answer the needs of high networth individuals as well as non-profit organizations and corporations. For this group, Smith Barney provides record keeping, account insurance, trading support, compliance maintenance, and regulation.
Kolbert majored in chemistry at the University of New Haven in Connecticut, where he also earned his MBA. He has worked as a research chemist with Warner-Lambert, in biotech company’s such as Amgen, and has spent four years with Schering-Plough, most recently in Osaka Japan. As an equity strategist for Smith Barney, Kolbert focuses on health care services, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.
