Patio weather, spring flavors, and seasonal fare have arrived at the Yankee Doodle Tap Room! Located in the lower level of The Nassau Inn on historic Palmer Square, the Tap Room is the local “go to” for hearty breakfast, lunch, dinner, brews, and cocktails, and they’re welcoming the spring season with menu additions and signature cocktails that will have your mouth watering, and events you won’t want to miss!
What’s looking good on the menu? The gastro-pub style classics — like their House Smoked Ribs, and Pan Seared Scallops, to name a few — are joined by fresh, new dishes for lunch and dinner. Think Ahi Tuna Nachos, served with wonton chips, avocado, and wasabi aioli, or Pulled Pork Tacos topped with Red Dragon Cheddar, giardiniera (a house-made pickle relish), and saffron rice, or the Summer Burrata Salad, a bed of arugula topped with sweet apricots, honey, pistachio, and drizzled in balsamic syrup.
Keeping true to its pub origins, you’ll also find juicy burgers on this menu, like the signature #YDTR Burger, topped with Red Dragon Cheddar, frizzled onions, and smothered with jalapeno tomato bacon jam.
We asked Executive Chef Dontea Johnson what his inspiration was when creating this new menu: “to raise the bar on presentation while also keeping up with trends.” Come hungry and prepare to enjoy every bite of dishes that look as beautiful as they taste!
Fancy a drink? Try their mixologist’s newest creations, a pair of “His & Hers” Drinks: The ‘Brojito,’ (that’s bourbon, lemon, mint, with a splash of sour mix) or the fizzy ‘Strawberry Spring Fling’ (made with Stoli Strawberry, St. Germain, basil extract, muddled strawberries). Beer lovers have their pick of 19 taps pouring craft beer.
