‘I had fallen in love with the Princeton area, but when looking to move here, I couldn’t believe there wasn’t a Pure Barre nearby,” said Jacqui Arce-Quinton, who decided to fill that void by bringing a Pure Barre franchise to Princeton. The boutique workout studio, which opened in March, is located in Palmer Square above Mediterra restaurant.

Pure Barre, per its website, “is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs and arms, and burns fat in record- breaking time.” The Princeton location offers 55-minute classes throughout the day. “While the music and technique changes from class to class, the workout is always fun, always challenging, and always safe,” said Arce-Quinton. This “safe, yet effective workout” is achieved through low-impact, isometric movements that target specific parts of the body.

Providing an amazing workout is only part of Arce-Quinton’s goal for the Princeton studio. “We strive to make Pure Barre Princeton a place where our clients can take an hour of their time to completely devote to their own minds and bodies,” Arce-Quinton continues. “We work hard to create an environment where everyone — regardless of fitness or experience level —looking for a great workout can come get one and see amazing results.”

If the first three-plus months are any indication, Pure Barre Princeton is already on its way. The studio has quickly gathered a loyal following of clients who range greatly in age, fitness level, and experience. What is bringing so many people to Pure Barre?

“I love that I can show up, put my stuff away, and get a great workout. No preparation or decision making is needed on my end,” said Margo Allen, a personal chef in the area. Denise Monahan, who has already taken 100 classes, said, “I had never taken a barre class in my life, but the instructors have been so friendly and helpful. I always felt welcome and the results really show.”

The positive, welcoming, and fun atmosphere seems to be a huge sticking point for clients. Allen said, “The instructors and fellow clients are all so amazing and I always leave the studio feeling better than I did when I walked in.”
