Before Russell and Tricia Marks, residents since 2006, decided to purchase their residence at Princeton Windrows, they had lived in 26 other homes across the world. After years of moving, the Marks realized that the obligations of cooking, cleaning, and home maintenance were taking too many valuable hours away from their pursuits and passions.

“It was important for us to focus our attention on the things that we find fun in life”, Russell remarks.

The Marks quickly discovered that the most important attribute of their new community was the people. Russell notes that with a pleasant mix of lively, well-educated neighbors from a variety of backgrounds, they have made “absolutely fascinating new friends.” Tricia adds, “We have been able to spend more time with old friends who have also moved to Windrows.”

At Princeton Windrows, our resident owned and managed independent living community, members are part of a vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming group that is truly different by design. One of our greatest distinctions is that homeowners have a direct say in the decisions that shape the community. In addition, residents have more choice and control over their financial future and healthcare.

Other major benefits of Windrows include the first-class services and amenities provided to residents by a friendly well-trained staff which is dedicated to them and them alone!

The Marks were equally impressed by the culinary experience at Windrows, which not only offers what Russell characterizes as “marvelous food,” but also provides a relaxing end to their busy days. “Every evening can be a dinner party with scintillating and interesting conversation,” Russell says, “and lots of laughter.”

Ruth Getter has been a resident at Princeton Windrows since 2009. “My children and I visited a number of communities in the Princeton area. It soon became clear that Princeton Windrows was the obvious choice. The location, amenities, facilities, and campus were all wonderful, and my grandchildren loved it. Most of all I was impressed with how welcomed we were by the residents and staff.”

There were other important elements that set Windrows apart for Ruth. “I’ve always considered myself a life-long student, so the opportunities for learning both within Princeton Windrows and in the larger Princeton community were very attractive to me,” Ruth says.

Nestled just four miles from Princeton, our community offers the opportunity to discover the bustling, cultural downtown area. Take advantage of many “open to the public” events at the University, attend a show at McCarter Theater, and enjoy world class shopping. If you desire, visit Manhattan or Philadelphia — both just a short train trip away.

“I have always been a very curious and independent woman,” adds Ruth, “and I wanted my retirement to be meaningful and interesting in a supportive and intellectually¬ challenging community. I believe that I have found that at Princeton Windrows.”

Residents of Princeton Windrows enjoy the benefits of homeownership, including freedom and privacy, without the worries of housekeeping and the burden of home maintenance.

Our community defines independent living at its best. Come join us!
