After serving the financial needs of her clients for over 25 years, Diane Stein happily returned to her private banking roots in January when she joined PNC Wealth Management in Princeton as a vice president and senior relationship manager. It’s where she spent the first 10 years of her career, and it’s where her heart has remained.

Stein enjoys the highly personalized and customized approach to wealth management — reserved solely for high-net-worth individuals and families — that she now practices at PNC. As a senior relationship manager she serves as clients’ entry point into the business. Her mission is to understand their needs and bring together the people and the services that are best suited to help them reach their goals.

Having a full team of experts in-house was new for Stein, and she says that it’s a real differentiator for PNC, named the ninth largest bank-held wealth manager in the nation by Barron’s in 2011. “I am excited to be able to offer my clients whatever they may need — wealth planning, trust and estate services, investment management, insurance, and banking — all under one roof. As a team, we not only satisfy their current needs, but are able to help them understand their future needs as well, particularly when it comes to estate planning,” said Stein.

She says that so many wealthy individuals have not given proper attention to estate planning, and often their heirs suffer the consequences. Stein identifies those possible gaps in planning, often working in conjunction with her clients’ attorneys, to shore up their plans and alleviate that stress in her clients’ lives.

PNC Wealth Management and its predecessors have been in the same downtown Princeton location for well over 150 years. The company and its employees play an active role in the Princeton community. Stein is a member of the Women’s Initiative for HomeFront, she supports West Windsor-Plainsboro PTA and the Princeton Chamber of Commerce, and is a former member of the Princeton Rotary Club. A native New Yorker, Stein is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has lived in New Jersey for over 20 years, with the last 10 in Princeton Junction.

The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., is one of the nation’s largest diversified financial services organizations, providing retail and business banking; residential mortgage banking; specialized services for corporations and government entities, including corporate banking, real estate finance, and asset-based lending; wealth management, and asset management.
