Those looking for the latest technological innovations in dentistry along with a caring staff should seek treatment at Dr. Lekha Tull’s office.
With convenient hours beginning at 7 a.m. and a warm, comforting environment, Dr. Tull’s office provides patients of all ages with exceptional care. Opened in 1986, Dr. Tull’s office is centrally located at 214 North Harrison Street in Princeton.
“We see everyone from infants to centenarians,” Dr. Tull said. “And, because we focus on the individual, we are able to tailor treatment to meet each patient’s unique needs.”
Up-to-date, cutting-edge dental equipment is central to Dr. Tull’s vision of modern dentistry.
“Keeping up with the latest in dentistry requires a significant educational commitment,” observed Dr. Tull.
As a reflection of this commitment, Dr. Tull has been awarded the mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry (held by fewer than one percent of dentists) and is a diplomate of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Tull’s work with computer-assisted dentistry is one of the cornerstones of her practice. This technology allows for a single-visit restoration for patients who need crowns, bridges, or veneers.
“By using a computer imaging process, I can design and fabricate in a single visit a restoration that provides the highest degree of functionality, but also one that has remarkable aesthetic qualities,” stated Dr. Tull.
Reflecting her commitment to computer-assisted dentistry, Dr. Tull devotes several weekends a year to training other dentists. After completing dental school at Northwestern University, Dr. Tull completed a two-year preceptorship in implant surgery at South Orange Hospital.
“Today computer technology has thoroughly revolutionized implant surgery,” says Dr. Tull. “We use 3-D imaging for a system known as computer-guided implants, and this allows for the highest degree of accuracy in implant placement. In implant dentistry, accuracy is a key to a successful outcome.”
A diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Tull is specially trained to treat sleep apnea and snoring. Sleep apnea is an often-unrecognized condition that can have significant health ramifications. Dr. Tull offers oral appliance therapy as an alternative to the cumbersome CPAP.
“One of the great thing about oral appliance therapy for snoring and sleep apnea is that, unlike the CPAP, they are easy to wear,” said Dr. Tull. “As a result, we find a high degree of patient compliance.”
