Hara Rola has been composing poetry for nearly 25 years, and reciting it in public for nearly 15 years. She has been a featured poet at New Jersey venues that include Collingswood Book Festival, Markeim Art Center, and Historic Smithville Village.

Currently, she is a contributing poet/writer and co-editor for the Native Plant Society of NJ E-News. Rola also writes articles, essays, short fiction, and monologues. She had lived for over 30 years in Camden County NJ and moved back to her hometown in Ocean County in 2019.
