Over the last decade, the Tour des Arts has become a leading cultural attraction in and for Hopewell Township and the entire region, playing a growing role as a gatherer of diverse artists, raiser of artistic awareness, and orchestrator of this popular fall weekend event for the community and visitors of all kinds from across the region, Pennsylvania and New York.

The self-guided tour lets people choose their artists and routes and explore at their own pace. It begins at the Hopewell Train Station at 2 Railroad Place in downtown Hopewell, where they can see a sample of each artist’s work, get a printed map, and make their way to individual studios, galleries, and workshops on the Tour in and around Hopewell Borough and Township.

The 2019 Tour des Arts features established and emerging sculptors, goldsmiths, photographers, live musicians, performance artists, wood turners, painters, filmmakers, a metallurgist and collagist, among others.

It’s timed for artists and art buyers alike to coincide with the coming winter holidays and gift-giving season.

The annual event was founded in 2007 by fine jewelry designer Beth Judge, gallery owner Ruth Morpeth, and designer Sean Mannix, owner of Highland Design Farm, which is home to a large number of artist studios that will be open-house for the Tour.

The event unfolds over two days, Saturday, November 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 10, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, and is free of charge; all are welcome.
