The traditional Indian greeting welcomes you to Crown of India, a name that evokes the glorious past history of kings, queens, and their kingdoms. History remembers the Mughals, rulers of Medieval India, for their love of music and dance, of epicurean delights and grand gestures. Their chefs combined the finest ingredients from India, Afghanistan, and Persia, with extraordinary results. Over the course of three centuries exotic dishes evolved in which flavors and fragrances mingled, producing exquisite tastes.
Now Crown of India brings this repertoire of royal palaces of old to modern-day Plainsboro in a beautifully renovated space at the Princeton Meadows Shopping Center.
Since 1990 Crown of India has offered a full menu of authentic Indian dishes prepared using ingredients of the highest quality. Each item on the menu is prepared by our chefs, who have mastered the preparation of these mouth-watering delicacies. Unlike most Indian restaurants, which specialize in Northern or Southern Indian cuisine, Crown of India offers a variety of both regions’ specialty dishes.
A delicious buffet of is available seven days a week, with a different featured item each weekday. On weekends there is an expanded buffet in addition to a full menu including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
The restaurant also offers two completely remodeled banquet rooms for meetings, conferences, and parties, and will customize a package to make whatever occasion you are celebrating an affair to remember. You may choose a room for a small, intimate gathering, or combine the Jaipur and Bombay rooms to accommodate up to 250 people. Each room offers internet, cable conferencing, and flat-screen televisions. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be served to tailor to your specific needs. Or have Crown of India cater a function at your location. Staff will work with you to ensure your function at the restaurant or elsewhere is a complete success.
