Imagine three days of exquisite music at two spectacular locations featuring six extraordinary musicians: Nelson Lee and Emily Daggett-Smith on violin, Mark Holloway and Dmitri Murrath on viola, and Denise Djokic and Michelle Djokic on cello.

That is the line-up for the Concordia ChamberFest coming Thursday through Saturday, September 17 through 19, promising to be an unforgettable musical experiences at some of the most beautiful locations in Bucks County.

The festival begins Thursday, September 17, with a cocktail reception and “Divine Revelations” featuring works by Haydn and Beethoven in the stunning Chapel at Kings Oaks in Newtown, Pennsylvania. The program includes the string quartet in F major, Opus 77, No. 2 by F.J. Haydn and the string quartet in Bb major, Opus 130 by Beethoven.

Friday, September 18, will be an intimate day of open rehearsals in the Barn at the lovely Glen Oaks Farm at 6871 Upper York Road, Solebury, Pennsylvania.

And on Saturday evening, September 19, light refreshments, cocktails, and “Transfigured Night” featuring works by Schoenberg and Brahms will be offered — again in the Barn at Glen Oaks Farm. The program includes the string sextet “Verklarte Nacht,” Opus 4, by Schoenberg and the string sextet in Bb major, Opus 18, by Brahms.
