CAN DO Fitness Club is a locally owned premier health and wellness club with three New Jersey locations. But aside from having top-notch training, group fitness, martial arts, spa and salon services, CAN DO is also a community powerhouse.
“We really enjoy giving back, and do so frequently,” said chairman and CEO Stuart Polevoy. “It’s our privilege to help local and regional organizations. We’re not a chain, so we have the flexibility to reach out to these groups.”
Some of the lucky beneficiaries of CAN DO’s charity efforts include Tomorrows Children’s Fund, Komen for the Cure, Special Olympics New Jersey, the Valerie Fund, the Eden Institute, the New Jersey Food Bank, Haitian relief efforts, Project Graduation programs, the President’s Cup Run, Plainsboro Public Library and Locks of Love.
“We’ve supported these organizations and many other worthy causes through donations and hosting fundraisers,” Polevoy said. “We also assist some organizations such as the Special Olympics New Jersey and the U.S. Soccer Team with performance training, which is a charity off-shoot of our Speed and Agility School.”
CAN DO has garnered a very positive reputation for getting results for athletes looking to improve their performance. The Speed and Agility School trains pro basketball, baseball, football and soccer players. These high-performance athletes know they’ll see results and travel to a CAN DO location to get them. Some do rehab at CAN DO, which is currently working with a NFL player.
“We also have programs specific to high school and college athletes, especially those looking to advance their athletic careers,” added Polevoy. “Our trainers are top-notch and specialize in these areas.”
All CAN DO professional staff are carefully selected and carry certifications in the appropriate specialties. Once hired, staff take part in CAN DO’s in-house Professional Development Institute, where they learn the practical skills needed to work with clients.
CAN DO Fitness Clubs are located in Princeton, Short Hills and Edgewater. The Princeton Forrestal Village club is open Monday to Friday, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, or a list of medical-based programs, call 609-514-0500.
