On behalf of the staff, board and members of the Sourland Conservancy, I would like to sincerely thank the Sourland Spectacular cyclists, runners, hikers, volunteers, and businesses who helped make this year’s event a big success!

Participants in the September 10 kick-off event enjoyed Bagel Barn bagels, Small World Coffee, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit, New World Pizza and hoagies, and Bent Spoon ice cream.

Proceeds from the event will support the Conservancy’s education, advocacy, and stewardship efforts. Last year, our staff and volunteers hosted several educational seminars and webinars, created educational videos and signage, and planted over 11,500 native trees in public parks and preserves in the region!

All were welcome to participate “At Your Own Pace” through September 17, as the route markers, port-a-potties, handwashing stations, and water bottle refill stations remained in place for cyclists to ride the routes. Hikers were encouraged to hike, trail run, or forest bathe on the 25 public hiking trails in the Sourland Region. For more information, please visit www.sourlandspectacular.com.
