The New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (NJAMHAA) is seeking presentation proposals on a variety of topics for its spring conference, “Advancing Opportunities, Improving Lives,” which will be held April 9 and 10, 2024, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Somerset.
“Our focus is on strengthening New Jersey’s behavioral healthcare system and expanding access to its life-saving services. To achieve this mission, we advocate for sustained and increased funding for services, and supportive state and federal legislation and regulations; educate government leaders, the media and the general public about the availability and effectiveness of behavioral healthcare services; and provide training to expand and strengthen providers’ knowledge and skills in order to continually enhance the quality of their services,” said Debra L. Wentz, president and CEO of NJAMHAA.
“The spring conference is one of many examples of the training we provide. We rely on experts from all areas of behavioral health care and leaders in other industries to share valuable expertise, insights and strategies to help individuals and organizations in behavioral health care maximize the value they can offer.”
Proposals are welcome for presentations in any of the following topic areas:

• Crisis Services
• Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
• Evidence-Based and Best Practices
• Identifying and Addressing Social Determinants of Health
• Innovative Service Delivery Models
• Innovative Treatment Strategies Addressing Opioid Use Disorder and Overdoses
• Issues and Solutions Concerning Children and Youth
• Managed Care
• Regulatory Challenges and How to Address Them
• School Based Services
• Services for Justice Involved Individuals
• Social Work Ethics
• Strategies for Providing Integrated Health Care
• Telehealth and Digital Services
• Workforce Recruitment, Retention & Wellness
Proposals for presentations on other topic areas of interest to the behavioral healthcare field are also welcome. Each selected presentation will be a one-hour workshop.
