As Diccon Hyatt points out in the cover story of this issue, companionship — even with a four-legged friend — is important to everyone, especially as we age.

That reminder of the importance of the people (and pets) around you also means that it’s time for U.S. 1 to take a one-week break from its normal schedule. The office will be closed from Christmas Day, Monday, December 25, through New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1. We return to the office on Tuesday, January 2, and to the streets on Wednesday, January 3.

Meanwhile if you need to communicate with us during the holiday week the best means is by E-mail: Classified ad inquiries should be directed to class@princetoninfo.com. Display ad inquiries to jbarrett@communitynews.org. Event listings to events@princetoninfo.com. And letters to the editor and news releases to rein@princetoninfo.com.

May your holiday(s) be merry.
