The Arts Council of Princeton is looking for a new executive director following the resignation of Taneshia Nash Laird, who had led the organization since January, 2017.

“Ms. Laird has injected great energy and excitement to our programming during her tenure. The Arts Council is grateful for her service to the organization and wishes her well in the future,” the Arts Council wrote in a prepared statement.

Laird will leave at the end of August and board president Jim Levine will step down September 4 to serve as interim executive director while the board searches for a permanent replacement.

Laird did not immediately announce new career plans.
