Taft Communications, a Trenton-based communications consultancy, has announced the launch of a new initiative for Trenton-area nonprofit and small business leaders through its Taft ClearPoint leadership communications practice: InspireWorksSM.

The initiative aims to support Trenton nonprofit and small business leaders sharpen and excel in their communications skills to unleash the full potential of how they deliver their messages to various audiences. In doing so, InspireWorks will also help strengthen the pool of unofficial “ambassadors” who can advocate for the positive progress underway in Trenton.

Greater Trenton, the nonprofit economic development organization focused on the state’s capital city, is partnering with Taft on the initiative, with other nonprofits and foundations expected to send participants through the four-month program.

InspireWorks will kick off in October with workshops delivered from Taft’s new Roebling Center offices at 35 Clark Street, formerly the home of the Roebling Wire Works complex and carpentry shop.

“The InspireWorks initiative is inspired by the entrepreneurial Trenton community, and the history of the Roebling Wire Works complex,” said Taft CEO & Managing Partner Ted Deutsch. “When we moved our firm to Trenton, we set out to find ways to give back. Our team is now excited to share Taft’s experience in leadership communications to add value for Trenton’s current and emerging leaders and, in doing so, lift up the story of Trenton’s resurgence.”

InspireWorks will serve two cohorts per year. Each cohort will include four separate two-hour communications workshops followed by individual one-on-one coaching with experienced Taft consultants.

The sole financial obligation for organizations sending participants to InspireWorks will be a nominal $100 fee. The low cost, high value experience is made possible through Taft and other partners subsidizing the cost of the program.

Individuals or organizations interested in more information and/or applying for the first cohort can visit www.taftcommunications.com/inspireworks and should apply by Friday, September 20. A second cohort is slated to begin in March 2025, with a January application deadline to be announced later this year.
