Princeton Medical Group To Expand

Princeton Medical Group, a 30-provider group practice with specialties ranging from internal medicine to cardiology, has announced that it will expand its operations into the Plainsboro Medical Arts Building in Market Square Park.

The move is meant to jell with the opening of the University Medical Center at Princeton, which is moving from its longtime facility on Witherspoon Street to Route 1 and Plainsboro Road by mid-2012.

Tom Troy, senior vice president of Sharbell Development Corp. in Robbinsville, said that Princeton Medical has bought “a little more than half” of the 30,000-square-foot space at the Plainsboro Medical Arts Building. Sharbell is building the shell of the new site and expects to be ready to turn the building over to Princeton Medical in September or October. Another contractor will handle the internal fit-out.

A press conference to announce the details of the expansion is scheduled for Thursday, June 23, at 2 p.m at Market Square North in Plainsboro Village Center.
