Beginning in January Felician College will offer a fast-track RN to BSN program, which enables registered nurses to earn their bachelor’s degrees in through Mercer County College. The 60-credit program consists of 30 credits of nursing courses and 30 credits of liberal arts and science courses. Nursing students can attend class one day a week and can complete the course in 19 weeks.
The program is designed for students who are licensed RNs, have earned their associate degree in nursing or a nursing diploma, and have at least 30 liberal arts credits. This program is open to graduates of MCCC’s nursing program, as well as their cooperative partner institutions Capital Health Systems and St. Francis Medical Center.
It is also open to nursing graduates of other community colleges, nursing diploma schools, and any registered nurse in the community. Felician College, based in Rutherford, also offers scholarships to qualified students. Because the Felician program requires applicants to hold an RN license in New Jersey, students who hold a license from another state will need to apply to the New Jersey State Board of Nursing for endorsement prior to admission.
