Another Change at MidJersey Chamber

Less than a year after the sudden departure of Robert Prunetti, the MidJersey Chamber of Commerce has another new CEO. Thomas Curtin, the former NJ Biz publisher named to replace Prunetti in August, 2017, is out, and Michael A. Cano was appointed interim CEO.

Cano, the founder of Hightstown-based Cano Wealth Strategies, is the first Hispanic to lead the chamber.

State Theater Names New CEO

State Theater New Jersey has appointed Sarah Bartlo-Chaplin as CEO of the New Brunswick theater.

Bartlo-Chaplin previously worked at the National Theater Corporation in Washington, where she served as the executive director. She will begin on August 6.

“We are elated to have an individual with Sarah’s experience join us as we look to begin the next chapter in the State Theater’s exciting history,” said Scott Fergang, chair of the State Theater New Jersey board. “It is Sarah’s arts management skills, her deep understanding of building community, and her work with renowned national and International Artists that will propel State Theater New Jersey to a new level of success.”

Prior to her time at the National Theater Corporation, Bartlo-Chaplin worked for SMG, a national venue management company, where she had management responsibility for the National Theater and several other venues around the country. Before that she was associate managing director at San Diego Repertory Theater and the Yale School of Drama. She has a bachelor of science in theater arts from Weber State University and an MFA in theater management from Yale.
