The Lawrenceville School has given its annual $65,000 donation to the Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF), a nonprofit that supports the Lawrence public schools. The private boarding school, which is exempt from paying property taxes, has donated a total of $1.5 million to the LTEF over the last 23 years. Lawrenceville also provides event sponsorship and numerous in-kind services, including office space.

One of Trenton’s oldest nonprofit organizations has removed the city from its name: The Trenton YMCA, established in 1856, is now the Capital Area YMCA.
The organization says it is changing its name because it also serves the residents of neighboring communities and that its new Camp YMCA at Rider University increased the regional nature of the group.
“The doors of the YMCA have been open to the entire community regardless of their address since our inception,” said CEO Sam Frisby. “The name ‘Capital Area YMCA’ better reflects the true diversity of our membership and scope of our service area.”
Deaths
Sarah Ann Kilfoyle, 78, on October 4. She worked for more than 20 years as an editor for the Electrochemical Society in Pennington.
Paul James McGinley Jr., 87, on September 30. He worked for RCA Labs in Princeton and taught purchasing and management materials classes at Rider.
Stephen P. Oberheim, 74, on October 1. He worked for 50 years as a programmer for IBM and in market research for Gallup and Multi-Sponsor Surveys.
