Audition

Center Players, located at 35 South Street in Freehold, is hosting auditions for “The Emperor’s New Duds,” a musical adaptation of “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Auditions will be held Saturday, October 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. Callbacks are on Monday, October 22, from 7 to 9 p.m.. Show dates are December 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, and 20. Sides from the play will be provided. Prepare a song that you know well, plus a resume and headshot, if available. Volunteer

The New Jersey State House Tour Program seeks individuals who enjoy history, civics and have an appreciation of art and architecture to conduct tours of the state house. Guides lead tours focusing on the legislative process and the building’s history and architecture. No experience is necessary. Participants should be comfortable speaking to groups. Training begins in October. Interested individuals should contact Carol Rogers, tour guide liaison at crogers@njleg.org or call 609-847-3150.

The Sourland Conservancy relies on volunteers to protect, promote and preserve the Sourland Mountain region. To volunteer, even for a few hours, send an email to info@sourland.org.

Friends of Princeton Open Space has regular volunteer work days throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Volunteer tasks include trail clearing and construction, building boardwalks to increase accessibility, removing invasive plant species, and planting native plants.
