CUH2A Plans Merger

Architecture firm CUH2A announced on June 2 that it plans to merge with Omaha firm HDR Architecture in a transaction that is expected to close by the end of the month. CUH2A, a growing company with 250 employees at its Lenox Drive headquarters, is led by Scott Butler, who has been designated to head up the science and technology groups of the merged companies.

HDR Architecture, a 1,300-person firm, is one of the world’s largest healthcare design firms, while CUH2A is a leading player in science and technology design. In announcing the merger, the firms said that they see significant synergies and plan to offer their combined services in a number of specialty areas, including biomedical research and development, academic research, biocontainment, nanotechnology, clean rooms, and forensics.

The combined company will have architecture, engineering, and planning staff in more than 40 locations around the world.
