CPA Firms Eisner, Amper Merge

Share post:

Accounting firm Amper, Politziner & Mattia has merged with New York-based Eisner to become EisnerAmper LLP.

According to a letter by Eisner CEO Charles Weinstein and Amper managing partner Howard Cohen, the companies first discussed the merger several months ago. “We found two firms whose cultures and strengths complemented each other to a remarkable degree,” the letter states. The letter also states that the move is intended to fuse the strengths of each firm, rather than create a situation in which downsizing is likely.

Amper, based in New York, has an office in Bridgewater that employs 100. The combined EisnerAmper expands the scope of both companies throughout Northeast and in the Cayman Islands. EisnerAmper will have approximately 1,200 employees, including 170 partners, overall, making it the 14th largest accounting firm in the United States.

There is no word on how the merger will affect staff size at the Bridgewater location.
