The New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC) is partnering with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) to co-host a series of virtual career fairs during the month of February for individuals considering a career in New Jersey law enforcement. The departments will provide participants with details about the application process, qualifications, recommended preparation practices, and general guidance for beginning a career as a Correctional Police Officer.
Sessions take place Tuesday, February 11, at 6 p.m., for prospective applicants residing in Central New Jersey, and Monday, February 24, at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. for prospective applicants state-wide.
The virtual career fairs are held on Microsoft Teams and offer opportunities to learn more about starting a career with the NJDOC, along with a chance for participants to meet virtually with officers from the Correctional Staff Training Academy.

Starting salaries for NJDOC correctional police officers now begin at approximately $51,400 upon graduation from the academy. Salaries for senior correctional police Officers now range from $70,500 up to $106,000 annually.
