Creative Marketing Alliance, a marketing communications and association management firm based at 191 Clarksville Road, recently collected 54 pairs of shoes as part of the Rescue Mission of Trenton’s Shoe Drive. The shoes will either be given by the Mission to needy visitors at its emergency shelter or sold in their thrift store. In conjunction with the Shoe Drive, CMA also worked to raise money for Trinity Cathedral soup kitchen in Trenton.

WorldWater & Solar Technologies, a Carter Road-based company that develops mobile large-scale water filtration units, has donated two units to Japan, in conjunction with Gamesa, a wind power company based in Spain. The units will help people in villages near the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant.

The CVS retail pharmacy chain is providing job training services for graduating high schoolers from Mercer County in conjunction with the Institute of Wonderful Women Working For Empowerment, a Trenton not-for-profit organization. Funded by CVS through a training grant from the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Career Prescription for Success (CAPS) program will offer an internship and apprenticeship program.
