Dozens of Bristol-Myers Squibb employees recently helped till, plant, and water part of St. Michaels Farm Preserve in Hopewell as part of a three-year pilot project that involves planting native flowers and grass in 5.25 acres of the preserve in order to cultivate the seeds in bulk. The project, conducted by D&R Greenway Land Trust through a Natural Resource Conservation Service grant, will later distribute the seeds in the tri-state area to green sites such as New York’s Fresh Kills Landfill.

Employees of Braun Research, based at 271 Wall Street, recently held the Joy of Sox sock drive for area homeless. Braun Research employees collected 267 pairs of new socks over a two week period. The socks were distributed to New Jersey area homeless through the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
