Diabetes research firm #b#Novo Nordisk#/b#, whose American headquarters is based on Route 1, recently donated $600,000 to the National Hemophilia Foundation’s “Campaign for Our Future,” which aims to provide support for people with bleeding disorders. This contribution is in addition to Novo Nordisk’s initial donation of $2 million in 2008 that launched the campaign nationwide.

#b#Sanofi-Aventis#/b#, a pharma research and development firm based in Bridgewater, and Acme Markets have contributed to Capital Health’s “Serving Up Health” program, aimed at curbing obesity. Sanofi-Aventis gave $144,000, while Acme gave $20,000. The program most directly benefits the National Junior Tennis and Learning of Trenton.

More than 900 employees at #b#ETS #/b#raised $117,000 to fund the cost of the new home in Trenton for Habitat for Humanity and donated several volunteer hours. A ribbon cutting was held on April 30 at 621 North Clinton Avenue.
