The consolidation of Princeton Borough and Township means that the school system serving the two municipalities will no longer be a regional school district. That in turn means that the schools need a new name, along with a new graphic design.

The result: A $12,500 contract with the Smith and Manning design firm to create a new “brand identity platform,” including an icon or logo with graphic elements to communicate the new name.

Among the possible new names mentioned at a recent board meeting: the Princeton School District, the Princeton Schools, the Princeton Public Schools, and the Public Schools of Princeton.
