Many of the startup businesses that rent space in incubators like the Princeton Innovation Center Biolabs are in need of capital. It’s convenient, then, that an upcoming workshop at the Biolabs will focus on how to raise money from venture capital funds and other institutions.
On Thursday, September 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Princeton Innovation Center Biolabs on College Road East, Plainsboro, Dianna Raedle will host a free workshop on best practices for raising capital. For more information, visit www.princetonbiolabs.com.
Raedle, who is CEO of Deer Isle Group, will walk through some concrete examples of how companies should think about positioning themselves. This will be an interactive session where participants will be encouraged to share their own entrepreneurial experiences to provide real examples of the concepts.
Deer Isle Group was founded in 2007 and has raised more than $5 billion in capital. The investment bank focuses on helping venture capital companies raise funds.
Before founding Deer Isle Group, Raedle was co-founder/managing member and investment committee member of Millennium Americas, a sub-advisor to the Millennium Americas Special Situations Fund, which invested in private capital transactions across the Americas with a focus on Latin America. She also worked in structured finance at institutions including Credit Suisse First Boston, SBC Warburg, and Citibank. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s from Princeton, Class of 1984.
