Call for Art
The Monroe Township Library is seeking local artists to submit work that shows what the library means to them. All forms of artwork may be submitted: painting, photography, sculpture, etc. The artwork will be on display throughout the library during the month of December. The Trent House Association invites local and regional visual artists over the age of 18 to submit for consideration works that highlight the 300-plus year history of the city of Trenton. Works may depict Trentonians from any period in its history. They may depict Trenton places significant or insignificant or they may depict events glorious or ignominious. No more than three digital images of works that interpret these themes may be submitted. Deadline for digital submissions is Friday, October 19. Visit www.williamtrenthouse.org.

Volunteer
The Drumthwacket Foundation is looking for volunteer docents to lead weekly tours of Drumthwacket, the official residence of the Governor of New Jersey. Docents at Drumthwacket lead tours and educate the public about the house. Volunteers will undergo several months of training before becoming an active docent. Docents work on average two Wednesdays per month and occasional weekends. Email your cover letter and resume to serenajain@drumthwacket.org.
The Arts Council of Princeton is seeking volunteers to assist with its fall community events, including Finding the Great Pumpkin and Day of the Dead. The Arts Council will offer volunteers $5 worth of ACP Bucks, which can be applied toward membership and classes, for each hour of their time. Visit www.artscouncilofprinceton.org
Lectures
The Princeton Adult School’s annual Claire R. Jacobus Lecture Series begins Tuesday, October 16, and runs for seven sessions concluding December 4. Lectures are on the topic of “Our World Transformed: The Digital Revolution” and begin at 8 p.m. in the Friend Center auditorium on the Princeton campus at the corner of William and Olden streets.
