Call for Art

The Ewing Library is seeking interesting collections for the library’s display cases and art exhibit area. For more information, contact Carmela Barrett at 609- 882-3130.

The Arts Council of Princeton is seeking entries for its annual Members Exhibition. All entrants must be ACP members. Membership can be purchased to enter the show. Artists are allowed one submission each. Submissions are due Wednesday, November 20. Visit www.artscouncilofprinceton.org for details.

Volunteer

The Bryn Mawr-Wellesley Book Sale is seeking volunteers and accepting donations starting Saturday, September 21. Donors can bring books to 281 Witherspoon Street in Princeton every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Call for Plays

The Lawrence Library is accepting submissions for its annual PlayFest, set for Saturday, April 25, 2020. Local directors will stage script-in-hand performances of one-act plays written by local playwrights. Plays should be 10 minutes in length with a maximum of five actors, and writers should be of high school age or older and live or work in the Delaware Valley. Submission deadline is Friday, January 10, 2020. Scripts can be emailed to akerr@mcl.org or brought to the library, 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrence. Call for Singers

Choral singers are invited to a choral reading of Medelssohn’s Elijah with the Princeton Society of Musical Amateurs on Sunday, October 13, at 4 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton, Route 206 at Cherry Hill Road, Princeton. Scores will be provided. Refreshments served at intermission. $10. Free for students and non-singing guests. For more information, send an email to musical.amateurs@gmail.com.

The Trenton Children’s Chorus is accepting new singers in grades kindergarten to 12. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 17, and are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at the West Trenton Presbyterian Church, 490 Grand Avenue, Ewing. Tuition is on a sliding scale.
