‘Suburban Mom: Tales from the Minivan of Life” by Euna Kwon Brossman celebrates the ups and downs of parenting today, from a humorous look at the challenges of communicating with teenagers (and keeping up with the new technology at the same time!) to the really important skills you should be teaching your kindergartener, and difficult subjects that include racism and real life headlines.
Drawn from Brossman’s bi-weekly column for the West Windsor-Plainsboro News, U.S. 1’s sister newspaper, the experiences strike a universal chord. No matter where you live, or whether you’re a mom-or a dad, you’ll know what she’s talking about. “Rarely do readers of Suburban Mom come away without a good laugh or cry,” says Barbara Pfeifer, former West Windsor Councilwoman and a suburban mom herself.
Brossman, also known as the Suburban Mom, will be appearing on Saturday, May 3, from noon to 3 p.m , at Borders in West Windsor to sign copies of her just released book “Suburban Mom: Tales from the Minivan of Life.”
Before embarking upon her career as the Suburban Mom, Brossman was a writer and on-air news reporter for the NBC affiliate in San Francisco; the ABC affiliate in Sacramento, California; and FOX News in New York. Born in Korea, she is a graduate of Yale University. She lives in Plainsboro with her husband, Bill Brossman, and their three children, who always provide her new material for her columns.
