The D&R Greenway had reason to celebrate at its May 18 fundraiser. The Rosedale Road-based open space preservation group has earned accredited status — the highest level of distinction — from the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance.

According to the Greenway, “this seal of approval ensures that D&R Greenway meets national standards for excellence, upholding the public trust and ensuring that conservation efforts are permanent. D&R Greenway is only the second land trust in New Jersey to achieve this status; the first is the Land Conservancy of New Jersey (formerly Morris Land Conservancy).”
