Six private homes and six historic sites in Bordentown City will open their doors to visitors Saturday, Nov. 7, as part of the Bordentown Historical Society’s annual Fall House Tour.

The self-guided walking tour, scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m., offers visitors an opportunity to explore the architecture and history of some of the city’s homes and landmarks.

Among this year’s stops are two churches marking 275 and 185 years of service to the Bordentown community. The churches are among the historic sites that help tell the story of the city and the generations of residents who have lived there.

The tour begins at the Bordentown Historical Society Meeting House, 302 Farnsworth Ave., where participants will receive brochures and maps identifying the locations included on the tour. Visitors can explore the sites at their own pace during the four-hour event.

Tickets are $30 for historical society members and $30 for nonmembers who purchase in advance. Tickets purchased by nonmembers on the day of the tour are $35.

Day-of-event ticket sales begin at noon, one hour before the tour opens.

Advance tickets are available at bordentownhistory.org and Icon Boutique, 204 Farnsworth Ave.

The Bordentown Historical Society is a volunteer-supported nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the city’s history and encouraging public interest in its historic buildings, people and traditions.

Proceeds from the annual fundraiser support the society’s preservation and educational efforts. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit bordentownhistory.org.
