The future prosperity of the region and its businesses is in the hands of today’s young professionals. To help them make connections and gain valuable insights to help them on their career journey, the Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Young Professionals Summit on Friday, November 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Conference Center at Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor.

Registration is required for the event geared toward professionals ages 21 to 45. For more information or to register, call 609-924-1776 or visit www.princetonmercerchamber.org.

The summit includes breakfast, networking, and a range of speakers and breakout sessions.

The keynote speaker is Peter Russell, the Philadelphia-based founder and CEO of Kindling, an online mentorship platform for young adults. The topic of his address is “Growth, Change, and Navigating Your Career.”

The event also features three breakout sessions. The first is “Bird’s Eye View: Unlocking Personality Styles for Effective Communication,” led by Will Giangrande. He is a facilitator for Take Flight Learning, where he uses a twist on DISC (Dominance, Influence; Steadiness; Conscientiousness) behavior and personality assessments to teach how different personality types can master such skills as communication, stress and time management, and delegation.

The second breakout session, titled “Millennials vs. Everyone: The Ultimate Survival Guide,” is led by Krishna Powell, the CEO of HR 4 Your Small Biz. Her presentation focuses on how to manage employees in a workforce that encompasses six different generations and methods of handling inter-generational conflict.

The final breakout Session is “Empowering Your Inner CEO (Chief Energy Officer): Strategies for Wellth and Riches,” led by Jenna Richardson, the founder of Princeton Integrative Health, One Rich Life, and The Wellthy Woman. Her workshop is centered on her driving philosophy, that “true health is the foundation of a rich life.”
