Calls for Artists

West Windsor Arts Council invites artists to submit work to its “Ode to New Jersey” exhibit. New Jersey is historically unique, dynamic, and ever changing. The heritage and vibe of this place has vastly different meanings to each one of us.

Exhibition dates will be from Tuesday, August 29, to Saturday, October 28. The deadline for submission is Monday, July 31. A maximum of three pieces can be submitted.

For more information regarding the exhibition and eligibility requirements please visit the WWAC website at westwindsorarts.org/exhibition/call_to-artists_ode-to-new-jersey or call 609-716-1931.

The Henry J. Austin Health Center (HJAHC) has announced an opportunity for talented artists local to Trenton to contribute to its mission of providing exceptional care and a welcoming environment for pediatric patients. HJAHC seeks vibrant mural designs that capture the diversity of Trenton, promote a sense of community, and inspire a bright future for children. This initiative aims to enhance the healing environment of the pediatric wings at its 321 North Warren Street location and 112 Ewing Street locations and create a visually stimulating space for young patients.

Interested artists are invited to submit two original mural designs for consideration, showcasing their creativity and vision. It is important that the murals align with Henry J. Austin Health Center’s branding and colors, demonstrate its vision as the center of wellness, and inspire the community to attain the highest quality of life. The murals should be bright, positive, and engaging, capturing the attention and imagination of children.

Submissions will be accepted through Friday, July 21. In addition to the two mural designs, artists should include an artist statement outlining the inspiration and concept behind the designs, a portfolio showcasing previous relevant work, and links to the artist’s website or online portfolio (if applicable).

Selected artists will be notified Monday, July 31. Murals will be created in August and September. Selected artists will be offered a compensation package commensurate with their experience and project scope. Detailed contract negotiations will take place with the chosen artists to ensure a mutually beneficial agreement.

All submissions must be sent via email to Neha Rauf (neha.rauf@henryjaustin.org) with the subject line “Pediatric Wing Mural Design Submission – [Artist Name].” Please include all required materials as outlined above. Interested artists may contact Neha Rauf for any questions on the mural selection process and branding guidelines.
