Area LWVs Announce Merger

Two local League of Women Voters chapters, LWV of Princeton Area and LWV of East Windsor-Hightstown, have merged into a new league, LWV of the Greater Princeton Area, effective July 19. Together the new league has more than 80 members.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots civic organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Membership in the league is open to people 16 years and older of all gender identities.

The new LWV-GPA covers towns spanning three counties including Princeton, Robbinsville, East Windsor, Hightstown, and West Windsor in Mercer County; Cranbury, Plainsboro, and South Brunswick in Middlesex County; and Rocky Hill and Montgomery in Somerset County.
