As affordable housing requirements are met, urban planner and Princeton resident Tony Nelessen leads a workshop visualizing what Princeton might look like in 2035 at a presentation Saturday, September 23, at 9 a.m. at Princeton Public Library.
The four-hour workshop, “More Housing is Coming, Where Will It Go?” will be held in the Community Room in partnership with Princeton Future, a local nonprofit not affiliated with the municipality.
Nelessen, a volunteer board member of Princeton Future, will present findings from the organization’s previous meetings, where residents shared recommendations for specific locations in Princeton where change is possible. He will show informal drawings to help those in attendance visualize the future of Princeton at these locations.
Nelessen has taught urban design and professional practice at Harvard and Rutgers and has more than 40 years professional experience as a professor, author and practitioner in the fields of visioning, planning, and urban design.
The workshop will take place in person and virtually. Registration is not required for the in-person event. Registration through the library’s events calendar is required to receive the Zoom link.
