Don’t Go Broke: Improve Safety and Manage Risks

Saving money and doing so securely is always a plus, so do the same for your small business with this SCORE Princeton event, “Don’t Go Broke — Improve Safety and Manage Risks for Your Small Business,” on Thursday, December 15 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Speaker Wayne Baruch, described in his bio as “an expert in environmental and occupational health and safety, as well as an OSHA authorized outreach trainer,” lends his expertise as a mentor to the “interactive workshop.” Registration is available online via the event page on the SCORE Princeton website, princeton.score.org.

Baruch has more than 20 years of experience in business consulting and will familiarize attendees with “risk management and recognizing hazards, resources to protect their interests and mitigate risk, and ideas to kick-start their risk management program.”

He also, according to the event page, will give three types of workplace scenarios — restaurant, construction, and office — “to discover how to practically apply the knowledge and resources and plan next steps,” including topics such as “rules, regulations and standards, the human side of risk, the basics of hazard recognition” and more.

In addition to OSHA, Baruch is an expert in the rules and regulations for safety protocols and workplace compliance for the EPA, DEP, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), DOT, and the Uniform Construction Code.
