Music study at Westminster Conservatory presents a unique opportunity for students of all ages and stages of ability to achieve musical and personal growth.

At Westminster, you will find a faculty of professional musicians who teach voice, strings, guitar, brass, woodwinds, piano, and percussion. Our teachers inspire students in a collaborative environment that nurtures their passion for music.

In addition, the Conservatory offers a wide range of classes and performing ensembles to engage every student, from beginner to young maestros, regardless of age. Some classes are intended as an introduction to music and require no previous experience, while others are designed to complement private instruction.

The Early Childhood Department specializes in bringing developmentally appropriate music instruction to children from newborn to 8 years of age. We believe that nurturing natural ability, curiosity, and love of music are vital to the development of the whole child.

Particularly gifted students have the opportunity to join the Conservatory’s Honors Music Program, which offers a comprehensive curriculum designed toward mastering total musicianship.

Founded in 1970, Westminster Conservatory is the community music school of Westminster College of the Arts of Rider University. Lessons and classes are available at five convenient locations: Princeton (Westminster Choir College and Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart); Monmouth Junction (Crossroads Middle School South); Lawrenceville (St. Ann’s School); and Yardley, PA (St. Ignatius School).
