In preparation for the televised Academy Award ceremonies on Sunday, February 24, regional film centers are once again screening “Oscar Shorts,” short documentaries, animation, and live action films contending for top spots in the film industry. Want to see them all? The Trenton Film Society at the Mill Hill Playhouse in Trenton will be screening the full roster between Thursday, February 21 and Saturday, February 23 (check out the details at

Meanwhile, two other organizations will finish up their already-in-process series as follows: the Garden Theater in Princeton’s documentary shorts on Wednesday and Thursday, February 20 and 21 (princetongardentheatre.org) and the Acme Screening Room in Lambertville’s animated shorts on Friday, February 22 (www.acmescreeningroom.org), that includes the film “One Small Step” (pictured above).
