Lightbridge Academy, a childcare early education center located in Plainsboro, is gearing up for a fun-filled summer camp that makes a perfect first-camp experience!
This all-day summer camp features a new adventure every week, involving children up to age 12, for which parents/guardians can choose between two-day, three-day, or five-day camp to your convenience. These themed weeks include Animal Adventures, a look at different types of animals and ecosystems; Summer Yummies, where the campers get creative in the kitchen; Holiday Hullabaloo, where we celebrate a different holiday each day; and Digging in the Dirt, in which we explore all plants, bugs, fossils, anything in the ground!
Using interactive whiteboards, iPad technology, and STREAM-based activities, children keep their skills sharpened with engaging learning throughout the summer. STREAM, (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts Math,) is a prime example of Lightbridge Academy’s educational philosophy that accommodates every type of learner. We could be spinning through tornadoes, sliding through ice and snow, creating thunder with wild weather through science experiments, arts and crafts, and music. Along with every enrollment every child gets a gift package, featuring a water bottle, a T-shirt, and a backpack to carry them along their adventure at Lightbridge.
Camp begins on June 18 and runs Monday through Friday until August 31, except for July 4. Keep in mind space is limited and camp availability will fill up fast, so it’s never too early to start enrolling. Camp runs from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Lightbridge Academy offers one price for all-day extended care. Campers who register early for the summer programs will receive a discount.
Lightbridge Academy provides a friendly and stimulating year-round place for your child. In addition, we have a 5,500-square-foot outdoor playground separated by age group so children can have outdoor fun while taking safety precautions. Children under Lightbridge’s care are in a secure environment with experienced CPR and First-Aid certified staff. The center includes a high level of security, beginning at the front door with a biometric finger scanning system and including video monitoring and other features. Parents can keep an eye on their child and our daily fun through our ParentView live-streaming video program that lets parents check in during the exact moment of real time.
