Christopher J. Killmurray, 55, on April 8. The South Brunswick mayor died of brain cancer less than a year after taking the place of Mayor Frank Gambatese, who also died in office. Killmurray, who had been elected to the town’s governing body five times, was a partner in the law firm Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas in New Brunswick.

Arthur Alpert, 61, on April 8. He was a machine mechanic at Homasote for 42 years. Services will be Thursday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing.

Eugene O’Connor, 83, on April 8. He was an architect who owned his own firm for 40 years. Services will be held Wednesday, April 11, at 4 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown.

Louis Peter Loforte, 71, on March 31. He owned Falzone Financial Services. Services will be Wednesday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Raphael’s, 3500 South Broad Street, Hamilton.

Hugh Watkins, 80, on April 2. He retired from Firmenich in 2002.

Anthony J. “Butch” Angelini Jr., 72, on April 2. He was a lab technician in the petroleum industry, working for Shell and Exxon-Mobil among other companies.

John Eckelmann, 61, on April 1. He worked at IBM and more recently Congoleum.

Jerry Travis on April 1. He was the owner and journeyman water well driller for the family business, Walter P. Travis Inc. in Ewing.
